Stainless steel 347H is a high-carbon, austenitic chromium stainless steel alloy stabilized with columbium and tantalum. Known for its enhanced strength and superior durability, SS 347H is ideal for high-temperature applications and environments requiring excellent corrosion resistance.
SS 347H Hollow Bar is composed primarily of chromium (17-19%), nickel (9-13%), and carbon (0.04-0.10%), with additions of columbium and tantalum for stabilization. The alloy’s high carbon content enhances strength and high-temperature performance. It offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, making it ideal for elevated temperature applications. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 515-725 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% in 50mm. SS 347H also maintains good weldability, formability, and resistance to oxidation, ensuring durability in harsh environments.
