Stainless steel 430 is ferritic grade, consisting mainly of 16-18% chromium and up to 0.12% carbon. Provides excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, especially in low corrosion areas. It has good looks and is magnetic. The mechanical properties of 430 include a tensile strength of 480-600 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa. It also has a density of about 80 HRB. Commonly used in automotive, kitchen and construction applications, Stainless Steel 430 combines durability with moderately low cost.
