Stainless steel 347 flat bar is an austenitic stainless steel, primarily composed of iron, chromium (17-19%), nickel (9-13%), and niobium (10x carbon content) added to prevent carbide precipitation This treatment this contains small amounts of manganese, silicon, and molybdenum. The material provides excellent corrosion resistance, especially in high humidity. Mechanical properties include 515-860 MPa tensile strength, 205 MPa yield strength and 40% elongation. It maintains excellent weldability, formability and oxidation resistance, making it ideal for high pressure and high temperature applications.

Stainless Steel 347 is most suitable for applications in the temperature range of 800°C to 1500°F (427°C to 815°C). This range allows it to maintain its strength, corrosion resistance, and stability, particularly in high-temperature environments like furnaces.
