SS 410 Hex Bars are composed primarily of 11.5-13.5% chromium, with small amounts of carbon (0.08% max), manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and nickel. This composition provides a balance of strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Mechanically, SS 410 offers a tensile strength of 70-90 ksi (485-620 MPa), yield strength of 30-60 ksi (205-415 MPa), and hardness ranging from 35-50 HRC after heat treatment. It is suitable for applications requiring high strength, wear resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance, especially in mildly corrosive environments.
