Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Hex Bar/Rod is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel. It contains about 15–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, 3–5% copper, and trace amounts of niobium and manganese mixed with iron. This blend gives it great corrosion resistance and strong mechanical properties. It has a tensile strength of up to 1310 MPa and a yield strength around 1170 MPa, depending on the heat treatment. Its hardness is between 28–44 HRC, making it one of the strongest stainless steels. It also offers good toughness, wear resistance, and stability in size after machining and heat treatment.
