The Tool and Die Steel D2 Bars are made from high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel, featuring around 1.5–2.3% carbon and 11–13% chromium, along with trace amounts of vanadium and molybdenum. This unique composition provides them with remarkable wear resistance, high hardness, and good toughness. After heat treatment, they typically exhibit a hardness of 55–62 HRC, a tensile strength ranging from 1900–2100 MPa, and excellent compressive strength.
