These Beryllium Copper C17510 Bars and Rods are made from a copper alloy that includes beryllium, cobalt, and nickel in carefully controlled proportions. This distinctive blend offers remarkable electrical and thermal conductivity while ensuring outstanding mechanical strength. With tensile strength ranging from 700 to 1400 MPa and yield strength between 500 and 1200 MPa, depending on the temper, these bars and rods demonstrate impressive hardness and wear resistance. They also possess good corrosion resistance, non-magnetic characteristics, and excellent machinability. The combination of conductivity and mechanical performance makes Beryllium Copper C17510 Bars and Rods particularly well-suited for challenging environments where both strength and conductivity are essential.
Beryllium Copper C17510 bars and rods, commonly referred to as Alloy 10, is a high-strength, high-conductivity copper alloy with 0.4–0.7% Beryllium, 1.8–2.0% Cobalt, and the rest as Copper. The alloy exhibits superior mechanical properties such as tensile strength 140–200 ksi (965–1379 MPa) and hardness in the range of 180–300 HB based on temper. Electrical conductivity remains satisfactory at about 45–60% IACS. Thermal conductivity is superior, corrosion resistance excellent, and ideal for applications that need a combination of strength and conductivity; examples include electrical connectors, springs, and industrial tooling components.
