Titanium round bars are commonly manufactured from commercially pure titanium such as Grade 2 or titanium alloys such as Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Titanium round bars possess superior mechanical properties, such as a high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and superior fatigue strength. Grade 2 offers moderate strength with higher ductility and formability, whereas Grade 5 provides greater tensile and yield strength, which is used for aerospace and high-stress applications. The mechanical properties vary from 345 MPa to 950 MPa in tensile strength and from 275 MPa to 880 MPa in yield strength, with elongation up to a value of 15%, varying according to the grade.
