What is Titanium Hex Bars?

Titanium hex bars are mainly made of commercially pure titanium or alloys of titanium like Grade 2 or Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). These bars provide very good mechanical properties such as a high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and fatigue resistance. Grade 2 titanium provides moderate strength with higher ductility and weldability, and Grade 5 offers greater tensile strength to be used in aerospace and high-performance applications. Common mechanical properties are tensile strength of 345–950 MPa, yield strength of 275–880 MPa, and elongation to 15% depending on the grade and processing.
