Titanium Grade 9 rods and bars, or Ti-3Al-2.5V, are a titanium alloy with 3% aluminum and 2.5% vanadium. This grade provides a very good compromise between the strength of Grade 5 and the formability of commercially pure grades such as Grade 2. Mechanical properties consist of tensile strength of approximately 620–690 MPa and yield strength of approximately 483 MPa, with elongation up to 15%. Titanium Grade 9 also offers excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing environments, good weldability, and cold-forming applications without impairing its structural integrity.
