Titanium Grade 7 bars and rods contain the alloying of titanium with a trace of palladium ranging from 0.12% to 0.25%, which greatly improves corrosion resistance, particularly in reducing and acidic conditions. The grade also possesses the same mechanical properties as Grade 2, such as tensile strength ranging approximately from 344–450 MPa and yield strength ranging approximately from 275 MPa. It possesses excellent weldability and ductility, with elongation usually amounting to up to 20%. Titanium Grade 7 is particularly prized for its crevice corrosion resistance and is well suited for chemically aggressive or chloride-containing environments.
