Titanium Grade 4 is the highest commercially pure strength titanium grade, providing superior corrosion resistance in addition to improved mechanical properties. It has a tensile strength of about 550–660 MPa and a yield strength of about 483 MPa, with elongation up to 15%. Less formable than Grades 1 to 3 but still having good weldability and ductility. Grade 4 is exceptional in applications where both the strength and resistance to oxidizing or mildly reducing environments are needed, and thus it can be used in high pressure and corrosive exposure applications.
