What is Titanium Grade 3 Bars/ Rods?

Titanium Grade 3 is a commercially pure titanium with increased strength over Grades 1 and 2 but satisfactory corrosion resistance and moderate formability. It provides a tensile strength of around 450–620 MPa and yield strength of around 380 MPa with elongation up to 18%. Grade 3 also possesses good weldability and resistance to oxidizing and mildly reducing environments. That makes it applicable in pressure-containing systems and structures demanding greater strength than lower grades without compromising corrosion resistance or fabrication characteristics.
