Titanium Grade 1 is the most ductile and soft among the commercially pure titanium grades and is an excellent material for welding, forming, and machining. It has superior corrosion resistance, especially in oxidizing and weakly reducing environments. The mechanical properties consist of a tensile strength of around 240–350 MPa and a yield strength of around 170 MPa, with elongation values of up to 24%. Although less strong than other grades, its excellent corrosion resistance and excellent ductility make it perfect for use in applications where forming and welding are desired without sacrificing corrosion performance.
