Semih Metals, established in Istanbul, Turkey, is an established producer and supplier of Titanium Grade 5 forgings and supplies high-performance titanium parts renowned for excellent strength and resistance to corrosion. With progressive forging technology and stringent quality checks, Semih Metals achieves Grade 5 titanium forgings with international quality and durability and performs in application-intensive sectors like aerospace, medical, marine, and automotive. The company provides accurate dimensional tolerances and superior mechanical properties, delivering dependable, long-lasting forgings that yield good performance in demanding applications needing a combination of lightweight strength and long-term corrosion resistance.
Titanium Grade 5 forgings consist of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy, with around 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, which contribute substantially to strength and toughness. These forgings have tensile strengths commonly between 900 and 1,000 MPa with yield strengths of about 830 MPa and elongation of about 10-15%. The process of forging provides refinement to grain structure, yielding superior fatigue resistance, impact toughness, and dimensional stability. Grade 5 titanium also demonstrates superior corrosion resistance to a variety of environments, such as seawater and to many chemical exposures, and is therefore one of the most generally useful titanium alloys.

Durability of Titanium Grade 5 forgings is ensured by proper heat treatment, controlled forging process, precise die design, alloy composition, and maintaining optimal surface finish, enhancing strength, corrosion resistance, and fatigue resistance.
Titanium Gr 5 forgings are commonly used in aerospace, automotive, medical, marine, and defense industries, providing high strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight properties for critical components and high-performance applications.
Closed-die forging in Titanium Gr 5 production involves shaping titanium by compressing it between two shaped dies, ensuring precise dimensions, high strength, and improved material properties for demanding applications.
Titanium Grade 5 forgings are employed extensively in industries where strength is high, weight is low, and corrosion is a key consideration. Aerospace uses them for structural elements, engine components, and landing gear. Medical uses rely on Grade 5 for implants and surgical equipment because it is biocompatible and provides good strength. Marine usage is for propeller shafts and underwater components, and the automotive industry employs these forgings in high-performance engine and chassis parts. Grade 5 forgings also play a critical role in chemical processing and power generation for long-lasting, corrosion-resistant components that can endure harsh service conditions.
