Stainless Steel 904L is a low-carbon, high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with about 20% chromium, 25% nickel, 4.5% molybdenum, and a small percentage of copper. Its composition offers excellent resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride-rich as well as acidic environments.
