Stainless Steel 430 Square Bars and Rods, mainly consisting of iron and having chromium contents around 16 to 18% with low carbon, are essentially ferritic. These offer relatively good resistance towards oxidation and corrosion in mildly corrosive environments, while the high strength yield may go up to 480 MPa. With good formability and excellent stress corrosion cracking properties, these perform well in application. Advantages include cost-effectiveness compared to other stainless steels, good weldability, high-temperature oxidation resistance, and resistance to corrosion in mildly acidic environments.
