Austenitic stainless steel with columbium (niobium) added for superior corrosion resistance comprises Stainless Steel 347 Square Bars and Rods. The alloy composition is composed of 17-19% chromium, 9-13% nickel, and 1-2% columbium. The tensile strength lies in the range of 520-720 MPa, and yield strength lies in the range of 205 MPa along with an elongation of 40%. High resistance to intergranular corrosion, high temperature oxidation, and stress corrosion cracking are provided by these bars and rods. They are incredibly durable, resulting in superior weldability and an ability to offer strength in hot environments. Especially suitable for aeronautic, chemical-processing, and electricity-generating industry applications.
