Stainless Steel 316L Forgings are composed primarily of iron, chromium (16-18%), nickel (10-14%), and molybdenum (2-3%), offering excellent resistance to corrosion and pitting, especially in chloride environments. The mechanical properties include high tensile strength (around 520 MPa), excellent weldability and toughness. It maintains its strength at elevated temperatures and exhibits low carbon content, reducing the risk of carbide precipitation.
