What is Alloy Steel Round Bar ?

Alloy steel round bars are produced from iron combined with various alloying elements, including carbon (0.2-1%), chromium (0.5-5%), nickel (1-5%), molybdenum (0.1-0.5%), and vanadium (0.05-0.3%). Carbon adds hardness and tensile strength; chromium and molybdenum provide wear resistance, increased heat resistance, and especially corrosion protection. Nickel gives toughness, and vanadium adds to strength and hardenability. These bars have more excellent mechanical characteristics. Tensile strength between 500-1000MPa, and yield strength: between 350-900MPa, Rockwell C Hardness: from 20 up to 60. Alloy round steel bars best suit demanding tasks where high resistance, strength and durability are important in extreme operation conditions.
