Key elements that are generally found in alloy steel bright bars are carbon, ranging from 0.30 to 0.60%; chromium, from 0.80 to 2.1%; molybdenum, from 0.15 to 0.30%; and nickel, between 0.3 and 5%. Some of the additional elements can include vanadium, manganese, and silicon. Such bright bars display very good mechanical properties: tensile strength is up to 1100 MPa, yield strength is up to 800 MPa, and hardness can reach 30-40 HRC.
